Introduction

The International Chamber of Innovation, Commerce and Enterprise (ICICE) is an inclusive international business league encompassing a global network of knowledge professionals.

The ICICE Executive Board, it's Advisory Board, Committees, Communities and Members are a diverse group drawn from  academia, government, and private sector. In support of our common ambition―the sustained prosperity of our businesses, institutions and innovation industries―we support, understand and favor the principle of intangible assets (i.e., human capacity, intellectual capital, know-how, etc.) as primary value drivers of the knowledge economy.

This approach is novel. It diverges from the historical physical assets-intensive view in which largely immutable “bricks-and-mortar” assets are determinative of value. In line with the emergence of industry-academic partnerships, open innovation, assets licensing, and diffused production business models, we seek to promote the development of knowledge as capital, and thereby, to advance the commercial and R&D interests of increasingly global industries and markets.

Compliance and Oversight

The International Chamber of Innovation, Commerce and Enterprise (ICICE) is a General Corporate Organization (“Ippan Shadan Hojin” or 一般社団法人), organized and established under stringent compliance laws in Japan. Under this structure, the Executive Board members of the ICICE are committed to an entirely voluntary service; there is no financial remuneration allowable to these principals.

In addition to maintaining transparency in financial and business practice reporting, ICICE is subject to oversight by a Compliance Board as well as external auditing by relevant authorities. Further, ICICE submits to voluntary on-going oversight by a responsible government representative.
